A FIRM which operates car dealerships in Bolton has made a donation to a charity circus.

Swansway Group, which owns Swansway Honda Bolton and Motor Match Bolton, has donated £13,640 to Circus Starr.

Circus Starr, a not for profit organisation, provides all the fun of the circus to those who wouldn’t usually be able to attend.

Their performances are typically aimed at children with disabilities, families on low incomes and those facing hardships in their life.

Since Swansway Group began their support of Circus Starr five years ago, they have donated over £70,000 through the sale of Motability vehicles.

For every vehicle sold on the Motability Scheme to a Motability customer, the group would usually donate £20, which enables a child and their carer to go to a Circus Starr show.

Swansway Group Director, David Smyth said: “2020 was a difficult year for everyone, but we can’t imagine how difficult it has been for some parents and children. Being able to continue our quarterly support has been a priority for us and we’re so pleased to have been able to help."
