FOUR more coronavirus deaths were announced at the Royal Bolton Hospital today.

Data published by NHS England show 612 deaths have been recorded by the borough's hospital trust since the start of the pandemic.

One person who tested positive for Covid-19 died on Monday, two people died on Tuesday, there were three deaths on Wednesday and a further death took place yesterday.

Across the UK, 345 people have died in the last 24 hours after contracting the virus.

The total number of coronavirus-related deaths in Britain stands at 122,415, as of 4pm today. 

Meanwhile, in the seven days up to Sunday, February 21, 655 new cases recorded in Bolton.

The rate per 100,000 of people in the borough with the borough is 227.8, still significantly higher than the national average of 117.0.

An extra 84 Covid-19 cases logged in Bolton today with the total amount increasing to 24,176.

In the UK, a further 8,523 cases of the virus were recorded.

Vaccine statistics show more than 19.1m people in the UK have had at least one jab.
