A driver has been disqualified in Bolton for the second time for having no licence or insurance.

Police from the serious collision investigation unit stopped the blue Mercedes in Chorley New Road supposedly on its way to the shops.

Police say the driver, a male, did not have a licence or any insurance for the vehicle, and this is not the first time this driver has been stopped by police for this reason.

The car has therefore been seized by police.

A GMP Traffic spokesman said: "Officer from SCIU stopped vehicle on Chorley New Road.

"Driver failed to get his licence or insurance before driving to the shops.

"Clearly not learnt his lesson after being disqualified previously for the same thing."
