A NEW food service with a dynamic changing menu has proven to be a hit with customers since it launched.

Chalk and Cheese, run by Holly Morgan, first began Friday night deliveries at the start of February and the charity worker has seen her orders “maxed out” in recent weeks.

The Food Technology graduate has been inspired by different cuisines during her travels abroad - including to Australia, Bali, Malaysia and Dubai, where she lived for four years.

Based in her Astley Bridge home, Holly changes her menu each week - allowing customers to try new themed dishes including Mexican, Chinese, Italian and Middle Eastern.

She said: “It has gone really well and I’ve seen the amount of orders placed go up each week.

"Reviews have been amazing and I have had people saying that it’s 10/10 and better than your standard takeaway, which is great to hear.

"I did Mexican for the first two weeks and then Chinese for the next two - the Chinese food was a real hit.”

Holly currently only works on Fridays, creating and delivering up to a dozen orders on the night.

All food is pre-ordered, allowing her plenty of time for cooking and delivery.

She currently only operates within a certain radius - including Astley Bridge, Sharples, Bromley Cross, Harwood, Halliwell, Egerton and Bradshaw.

But due to her success, she is considering delivering on Saturday nights too - and even seek business advice to further her capacity.

Some of the reviews on Chalk and Cheese’s Facebook page pour praise on the food and the business concept.

One reviewer said they had everything off the Chinese menu and it was “all amazing.”

She added that she would definitely order again and called it a “great concept.”

Holly added: “It is just myself at the minute and it’s all based from home so I’m looking at seeking advice on what I can do to help it.

“I do feel like there is a gap in the market for something like this - something that is a bit different.

"We have got quite a few different dishes and ideas so we are hoping we can change perspectives on takeaway food.”
