THREE friends are taking on an epic challenge to fundraise for Bolton Hospice.

Joe Coucill, 30, Daniel Taylor, 30, and Ben Hogan, 29, have committed to completing a 4 x 4 x 48 challenge, which involves running four miles every four hours, for a duration of 48 hours - resulting in a distance of 48 miles in 48 hours.

The friends, who are all from Bolton, will complete the feat on March 5.

Joe said: “We decided to raise money for a charity close to home, Bolton Hospice.

“Bolton Hospice provide expert care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice and at home. They care for patients throughout their illness, helping to improve their wellbeing and quality of life. Any donations however big or small will all make such a difference.”

The lads set a fundraising target of £500 - but they have already raised more than £1,000.
