SPINNING superstars are putting some muscle into fundraising for Bolton Hospice.
Bolton Spin Studio has raised thousands since it started supporting the hospice in 2009.
Every month the group takes part in a virtual cycling challenge to raise cash for the hospice. This Saturday morning, the spinners will tackle a gruelling 2,500m uphill route - almost twice the height of Ben Nevis.
Studio owner Gareth Price is also planning a 12-hour sponsored spinathon for later in the year.
“I can’t think of a better cause to raise money for,” said Gareth of his decision to support the hospice. “It’s a local charity, people I know work there, and I know they don’t have any events going on at the moment and their shops are closed.”
Gareth estimates that he and the studio have raised close to £15,000 for the hospice over the years. In 2021, he has set the target at £4,000.
