A van linked to flytipping in Bolton has been seized by police.

A white Vauxhall Combo was stopped by police in Green Bank, Harwood, late last night with the driver found to have no insurance or licence, according to police.

Officers say that this van has been linked to a number of reported flytipping incidents in Harwood and surrounding areas, with the van itself having false plates.

The van has therefore been seized, to be crushed, and the driver reported for the incidents.

A GMP Bolton North spokesman said: "Officers from GMP Traffic seized this van on Green Bank, Harwood this evening.

"The van had been linked to flytipping around Bolton North.

"The driver was found to have no licence or insurance and the van was on false plates. Van seized and driver reported."

A GMP Traffic spokesman added that the car was going to be "crushed" after its seizure.
