The coronavirus infection rate in Bolton is continuing to fall, according to the latest figures.

The number of cases in the town has been falling significantly over recent weeks after a long period of time where cases remained stubbornly high compared to the rest of England.

Bury has also seen its infection rates drop significantly after a period where it rose, falling from 231.9 cases per 100,000 people to 169.6 according to the latest figures.

Trafford is still recording by far the lowest amount of coronavirus cases in Greater Manchester, with only 257 cases in the seven days to February 26, at an infection rate of 108.3 positive Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people in the borough.
