The power cut is affecting ten Dorset homes
Many properties in Great Lever and Farnworth have been left without power after a cut.
A powercut was first reported in the BL4 area to Electricity North West just after 3am this morning with staff on site currently trying to fix the issue.
108 people have been left without power since this time, and power isn't expected to be restored until 3:30pm.
An Electricity North West spokesman, said: "The power cut in the area has been caused by an unexpected incident with the underground cable that provides electricity to your property."
They also Tweeted to a resident in Farnworth: "We are aware of the power cut in Farnworth BL4, we currently have engineers on site now working on the fault."
