Police attended a house in the early hours of Saturday morning after complaints from local residents of a potential Covid-19 breach.

Officers received an online complaint around 1:45am on Saturday to what was thought could have been a gathering in breach of coronavirus regulations.

The complaint was to an address in Primula Street, Astley Bridge.

However, police attended the property and found those that were subject to the complaint all lived together, and therefore issued no fixed penalty notices (FPNs)

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman, said: "This was an online complaint received 1.45am 06/03/21.

"It was as found not to be a Covid breach as those who were subject of complaint lived together, so no FPNs issued."
