DRIVERS who used cars without having a licence or insurance have been fined by magistrates.

The case against Ciprian Sorin, aged 43, of Woodfield Street, Bolton, was proved after the court heard how he drove an Audi A4 on Fletcher Street, Bolton June 6 last year. He was fined £880 plus £173 in costs and charges.

In a separate case Krisztofer Orsos, aged 19, of Rothbury Court, Bolton was fined £660 plus £119 in costs and charges. He drove a Renault Megane on Guido Street, Bolton on July 22 last year and the case against him was proved.

A Renault Megane was also used by Erik Piroska, aged 21, of Highwood Close, Bolton, when he drove on Lower Bridgeman Street, Bolton on August 25 last year. He was also fined £660 plus £151 in costs.

Stefan Stojka, aged 50, of Mayor Street, Bolton, was convicted of committing the offences when he drove a Suzuki Alto on Bromwich Street, Bolton, on July 13 last year. He was banned from applying for an licence for two years and must also pay £173 in costs and charges.

The case against Anton Kolompar, aged 22, of Lily Road Close, Bolton, was proved at Manchester Magistrates’ Court. He drove a Honda Accord without a licence or insurance on Salford Road, Bolton, on September 2 last year. Six points were added to his driving record, plus a £660 fine and £151 in costs and charges.

A man convicted of riding a scooter without a licence or insurance has been fined £660 by Manchester magistrates. The court heard that Paul McCarthy, aged 49, of Savick Avenue, Bolton, rode the Lexmoto FMX 125 on Bury Road, Breightmet on August 28 last year. He was also ordered to pay £151 in costs and charges.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Tomas Kolompar, aged 20, of Elmwood Grove, Bolton, pleaded guilty to having no licence or insurance when he drove a Volkswagen Bora on Horse Street on September 20 last year. He was fined £513 and ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs and a £51 victim surcharge.
