A NEW McDonald’s restaurant has opened in Bolton today creating more than 80 jobs.

The new branch of the fast food chain has opened at the site of the former Serco offices in Manchester Road as part of the development by Blackburn-based Euro Garages.

Pictures from inside the new restaurant show all the features of a modern McDonald's, such as a number of self-service kiosks.

The new restaurant has two floors, a 24-hour drive-thru and an outside seating area.

Local franchisee Dave Shaw, who owns and operates the new Bolton restaurant, said: “We are delighted to be opening this new restaurant and we’re so looking forward to getting to know more of the local community.

"We’d like to thank our hardworking crew and our new customers in advance for their support and patience as we continually adapt to the safest ways of working during the pandemic.”
