AND it's a wrap — in Bolton at least.

The final day of shooting in the town centre for the sixth series of Peaky Blinders took place in Le Mans Crescent today as excited fans once  again gathered to get a glimpse of the stars.

Cillian Murphy was back in the town centre as a day into evening shoot tool place.

And not even the black sheeting was going to stop fans from seeing their idol — even if it meant standing on bins.

Photographer Daniel Crompton captured the action taking place on set.

Cillian, who plays Tommy, was seen running out of the former Bolton Magistrates Court, down the steps on to the Crescent, which has been transformed into a period street scene with vintage cars parked up..

Production crews have been in town since Monday for the sixth series of the gangster show, set in 1930s Birmingham.

On Thursday work will take placed to bring the Crescent back into the 21st century.

It is understood the production crew are moving to Salford today and then to the Rossendale Valley.

But for three days the filming of a hit drama series certainly brought the people into Bolton  and the national press!

One fan waiting outside the library had brought along an impressive painting of Tommy Shelby.

Jayden Simone Kitchen, 18, is a tattoo apprentice and Peaky Blinders is a huge inspiration for her.

She said: “The painting took me about eight hours altogether, I’m obsessed with the show, I have a tattoo and everything.

“It’s just mental that it’s here, it’s so close to where I live. I’ve been to Manchester trying to meet him and everything, and now he’s just five minutes away.

“I came down Monday night and I managed to see him for about two seconds, but I would love to speak with him.

“You’ve just got to hope for the best.

“I’m a tattoo apprentice - all my practice I just draw anything Peaky Blinders pretty much.”

Peaky Blinders has been filmed in Bolton before and many residents were glad to see the show was returning to the town.

Gemma Kelleher said: “I think it’s fantastic they’re filming here because I missed it the first time around.

“I went to Castlefield a few weeks ago when they were filming there, we actually caught a bit of it but because it was from the back we didn’t know who it was “I was here on Tuesday and I saw Cillian Murphy which was really good, he was on the steps as they were doing the filming."

“They only did one outside scene yesterday and the rest was in the courts, but I managed to see him.

“I’m really pleased. I’m going to hang around to watch. I’m hoping I’ll see more people today. I’m just really, really excited.”
