PLANS have been submitted to create an extension to a school which would include music practice rooms and an art classroom.
Mount St Joseph RC High School in Farnworth wants to construct a first floor extension to boost its creative offering with a set of toilets for boys to be put there too.
A planning document states the school currently accommodates four classes and music tuition in two leaky portacabins.
The plans state: "These have been sited for over 15 years and where intended as a temporary measure until permanent structures were put into place.
"The portacabins are now damp and have been prone to vandalism.
The roofs now leak and this has an effect on the electric cabling and fixtures making them unsafe to be used as classrooms."
