A TEENAGER was caught drink driving in a stolen Mercedes which crashed into a bus shelter.
Wigan Youth Court heard how the 16-year-old Bolton boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was caught behind the wheel of the car on Stitch-mi-Lane, Harwood, on July 26 last year.
The teenager, who had 51mg of alcohol in 100ml of his breath when the legal driving limit is 35mg, pleaded guilty to being over the drink drive limit, having no licence or insurance and the Mercedes GLE 250 without consent.
The boy was referred to Bolton Youth Offender Panel for 10 months, banned from applying for a driving licence for 14 months and must pay £85 towards prosecution costs and a £22 victim surcharge.
