Channel 4 reality TV show The Circle comes to an end tonight and fans of the show will be disappointed to see it go.

However, all hope isn’t lost as Channel 4 is on the hunt for new contestants to take part in a “possible future series” of The Circle.

Applications for the show opened on 30 March and can be filled out via an online form- it would be great to have a Bolton representative in the show next year.

Afterall, it is filmed just half an hour down the road in Salford so you won’t have to shell out on travel expenses.

Bolton-born Sophie Willan is also the narrator of the show and will undoubtedly be delighted to have some local people on the show.

If you think you have what it takes to win The Circle, here’s everything you need to know about the show and how to apply:

What is The Circle?

For those who don’t know, The Circle is a Channel 4 reality show where anyone can be anyone.

The aim of the game is to become the overall most popular player.

The twist is that you will never meet or speak to each other face to face, only interacting with one another through a bespoke voice-activated social media platform, called The Circle.

Will you be playing as yourself or will you create a completely fake profile in an attempt to ‘catfish’ the other contestants?

Contestants will get to know each other through what they choose to upload onto their profiles and what is shared in their chats with other contestants in The Circle. With The Circle in control, there will be games, surprises, twists and turns.

If you manage to win the show, a huge cash prize is up for grabs; in this year’s series (which is currently still running) a cash prize of up to £100,000 prize is at stake.

Who has won the show in previous years?

The first series of The Circle aired in 2018 and was won by Alex Hobern, who played the game as a 25-year-old woman called Kate.

Season two’s victor was Paddy Smyth who played the game as himself.

There was also a spin-off celebrity series for Stand Up To Cancer which featured big names such as Saffron Barker, Kaye Adams and Nadia Sawalha.

The winner was Lady Leshurr who was pretending to be rapper, Big Narstie.

The 2021 series is still under way and a winner is yet to be crowned; it will end on 9 April 2021.
