ELEVEN vehicles were involved in a pile up at J25 in Bredbury on the M60 on Saturday morning following a 'sudden snow flurry'.
The road was closed anticlockwise from J25 in Bredbury to J24 at Denton Island while emergency services attended the incident.
Police have said that some of the occupants of the vehicles sustained minor injuries.
The crash happened at around 8am on Saturday morning, police said that the snow led to numerous collisions.
Highways England had advised people to avoid the area as traffic had to be stopped to deal with the incident.

A diversion was been set up by Highway England with drivers advised to follow the diversion symbol.
The road closure has now been fully lifted.
