A MAN was left with head and face injuries after an assault in Farnworth on Friday night.
Police were called to Anchor Lane at around 8.50pm after reports were made that a man has been attacked.
The 41-year-old victim suffered head and face injuries and was given treatment by paramedics, Greater Manchester Police said.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on bail.
A GMP spokesman said: "Police were called to Anchor Lane, Farnworth, at about 8.50pm on Friday, April 9 to reports a male was being attacked.
"The North West Ambulance Service also attended and the man sustained injuries to his head and face.
A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
