NO further coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed at the Royal Bolton Hospital in the last day, figures have revealed.

NHS England data shows that no more people have died at the hospital after testing positive for Covid-19.

There have been 646 people who have died at the hospital after being confirmed to have had the virus.

Across the UK an extra 38 coronavirus-related deaths have been announced, raising the total amount from the start of the pandemic to 127,161.

In Bolton, 23 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours and 2,491 were discovered across the UK.

In the seven days up to April 9, there were 145 new cases found in the borough, with Bolton's rate per 100,000 people on that date being 50.4.

The rate continues to fall but the UK rate at that time was much lower at 28.6.

More than 32.3m people have now received their first dose of a vaccine.
