BY DAY, Bolton’s beauty spots and scenic rural areas are enjoyed by families on a day out.

But by night, they are being used as a rendezvous spot for those who partake in ‘dogging’ which is described as the practice of watching or engaging in exhibitionist sexual activity in a public place.

Theses Bolton areas have been listed across several adult websites, with the exhibitionists rating and reviewing the spots and explaining exactly where to rendezvous to avoid public detection.

Dogging itself is not illegal- but it can be if another person sees the act.

If it causes outrage to a witness, an offence may be committed.

Most of these Bolton places are frequented by exhibitionists in the evening- so be wary if you are walking through them after dark.

Moses Gate Country Park in Farnworth seems to be one of the most popular meet up points for doggers.

One person wrote: “Fun can also be found by parking up on road directly outside park… the most popular time to visit is 8.30pm onwards”

Have you ever paid a visit to Moss Bank Park? If so, you have walked through a notorious dogging spot in Bolton.

This park was listed across several adult sites with one person citing that they used Bluetooth pairing to find their rendezvous partner.

A popular meeting point is Barrow Bridge Car Park.

Entwhistle Reservoir is a gorgeous spot, ideal for walkers and those wanting to immerse themselves in nature.

You may have also enjoyed a picnic or two around here on a summer day- but you might want to rethink your picnic spot in the future.

Exhibitionist say “there is some good dogging action to be had” at the nearby picnic tables while others have warned of an increased police presence in the area between 8pm and 10pm.

Back in 2010, dogging was so prevalent that more than 6000 trees were chopped down to prevent exhibitionists from engaging in these activities.

Here are just some other Bolton areas listed on various dogging websites:

Chorley New Road- Various car parks along the road.

A666- Stones Bank Road on the A666.

A cyclist said there is constant “action” on this road which is just off the A666. There is also some woodland near here which is frequented by doggers.

Scout Road- Exhibitionists often meet up at a small car park along this stretch of road.

Horrocks Wood car park- In 2017, a woman claims to have found couples taking part in dogging activities in this car park.

To this day, it is still mentioned on popular dogging site, Swinging Heaven.

Tockholes Road- According to adult sites, this used to be a popular dogging spot- but now-a-days it is ‘hit or miss.
