A TALENTED sculptor has turned a tree in Badly Drawn Boy's garden into a 'Fairy House'.

Indie singer-songwriter Badly Drawn Boy, real name Damon Gough, posted the impressive results on his Twitter page.

The Bolton singer posted: "Had the pleasure of watching a skilled craftsman today, the very talented Andy Burgess.

"Turned our tree into a fairytale house with an owl on top. This is the halfway point. He’s back tomorrow to finish off the fine details. It’s already pretty cool."

Andy replied: "Thanks so much for the tag-in, and for looking after me with cups of tea! It’s been a full-on day, but I’m looking forward to seeing the end result. Cheers!"

The meticulously carved tree depicts a house with an owl on top, created using an array of power tools including drills and chainsaws.

Andy, brother of Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess, has been creating the designs since 2009.

He has previously placed placed third in the European Chainsaw Championships 2010, and was joint first place in the England vs Germany competition in 2011.

He was also the first chainsaw wood sculptor to exhibit at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2013.
