THE Scouting movement is a great British institution which generations of young boys have enjoyed.
Bolton has always had a particularly strong connection to this hugely-respected organisation with Cubs and Scouts meeting on a regular basis over the years.
Lockdown may have curtailed activities and restricted activities to online get togethers but we headed back into the archives - and the year 1979 - to look at just what the town’s youngsters got up to as part of their regular activities.
Perhaps you were in one of the groups or maybe you recognise someone who was.
Hopefully these pictures will bring back some fond memories of camps, trips and tasks from your formative years.
