The hampers were the result of a street collection made in the Longcauseway area of Farnworth. Susan Bessell, of Anvil Street, Farnworth, who organised the collection with her mother, Mrs Ethel Bessell, left, and their friends, Mrs Alice Taylor, of Newport Street,Farnworth, and daughter Michelle.
