IT’S NATIONAL TEA DAY (21 April) and to celebrate we have tracked down some of the best local cafes that you can sit outside in Bolton.  

Venues were allowed to open their outdoor areas last week (12 April) meaning you can now sit outside with you beverage and enjoy the fresh air.

If you want to make the most of National Tea Day (or just want an excuse to visit a local café) here are 7 Bolton venues that you are allowed to sit outside:

1. Amico Café, Corporation Street

According to the company website: “Amico means friend in Italian which is fitting for this charming cafe, the products are like a touch or a hug that we need them every day.”

As well as delicious tea and coffee, Amico Café also serves food including breakfast, pizza and pasta.

They only use quality ingredients and have an ethical approach to how they source our food.
They are currently open for outdoor dining on a first come first served basis.

Opening hours are as follows: 08:30am-5pm (Monday- Saturday)

9:30am-4pm (Sunday)

2.Odessa Café, Bridgeman Buildings Exchange

There is a wide selection of hot and cold food available at Odessa Café- and you can enjoy it from their outdoor seating area.

They are always changing and updating their menu to keep things fresh and new, ideal for repeat customers who want to try something different.

They are open from 7am-5pm Monday- Saturday and 9am-5pm on Sundays.


3.Café Pierre at Emmaus Bolton, Fletcher Street

Café Pierre at Emmaus Bolton promises to deliver “hot coffee” and “homemade yummy goodies” to customers.

Best of all, when you shop here you are helping a charity to help the former homeless get back on their feet.

Their outdoor area is also well-presented and is situated under a pergola.

4. Café Italia, Moss Bank Way

This is not just a café- it also serves breakfast lunch and dinner and promises to deliver a “relaxed atmosphere” and top quality food.

They also have an outdoor balcony where customers can relax.

This Italian restaurant also serves hot drinks and cafe treats.

An English tea here is £2 and you can also get a coffee for as little as £2 too.

It’s also just around the corner from our restaurant are a selection of quirky modern shops and a cinema, so you can stop here after a day of exploration.

7. Turnton Tower Woodland Café, Chapel Town Road, North Turnton

If you ever pay a visit to the iconic Turnton Tower, make sure to stop by this café.

There are outdoor picnic benches and you can enjoy your food and drink surrounded by greenery.

There are also lots of fairy doors hidden around the woodland for the children to find while you enjoy your hot drink.

Customers also have high praise for the cafes bacon baps too- so make sure to stop by for one.

They are open from 10:30am-4pm.
