A RARE opportunity to both welcome back celebrity Vernon Kay to his home town and learn the secrets of life behind-the-scenes in Coronation Street is on offer in September.

TV personality Vernon will be hosting a special event called Meet The Stars at the Platinum Suite of the Bolton Whites Hotel on Saturday, September 4 at 7pm.

The fun-packed evening offers a chance to see Vernon in action and learn about his latest appearances including his new TV show Game of Talents.

There will also be the chance to find out more about Corrie stars Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, and Andy Whyment who is Kirk Sutherland who are special guests.

They will be lifting the lid on life on the nation’s most famous street. And there will also be a mystery VIP guest to add to the evening’s entertainment.

Vernon, aged 46, is a life-long Bolton Wanderers’ fan and is donating his fee for the event to the club’s Community Trust, where he is an ambassador.

“I’m really happy to support my town and Bolton Wanderers Community Trust,” he stated.

The popular TV presenter took part in the latest series of I’m a Celebrity …. Get Me Out Of Here! which was held in a Welsh castle rather than the Australian jungle because of the pandemic. He got to the final three and won new fans with his resilience and sense of humour.

He has a busy career hosting panel games and reality shows and is married to Strictly Come Dancing co-presenter Tess Daly. The couple have two daughters and live in Buckinghamshire.

“We’re really grateful to Vernon for helping us in this way,” commented Head of Bolton Wanderers Community Trust Phil Mason.

“He’s long been a supporter of the club and is passionate about the work the Trust is doing in the community. We’re hoping this event will prove to be a great success.”

It is being organised by Lisa Forshaw PR, which staged the successful An Evening with Sam Allardyce at Bolton Whites Hotel at the beginning of last year.

“I’m absolutely delighted that Vernon has agreed to do this special night and will be talking to some of his celebrity pals,” explained Lisa.

“It’s exactly the kind of live entertainment we need after a long lockdown and I just can’t wait. It’s going to be a great night!”

Tickets cost £75 each and include a drink on arrival, two-course dinner, live entertainment and a DJ.
