A STOLEN car was recovered by police at a popular beauty spot this afternoon.
Police officers attended a scene in Moses Gate Country Park near Farnworth following reports of a car parked in the bushes at the edge of the park.
After a quick inspection, officers realised that the vehicle had false plates and was stolen during a robbery last week.
The car has now been recovered and sent away for forensic investigation.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson for Bolton South said: "#Recovered. Farnworth PCSO following up on reports of a car parked in bushes on Moses Gate Country Park.
"Closer inspection of the chassis number showed it to be on false plates and stolen by means of robbery last week. It has been recovered for forensic examination."
