A MOTORBIKE which police chased across Bolton over the weekend has been reunited with its owner.

A blue 'Zero' bike was stolen from Manchester Road on Tyldesley on Sunday, and was tracked by local police officers through Little Hulton and all the way to a patch of land near Kearsley West School - a journey totalling nearly five miles on the A5082.

It has now been safely returned in one piece to its owner, according to officers.

The report was received on Sunday April 18 at around 2.15pm of a theft of a motorcycle, according to Greater Manchester Police.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson for Bolton South said: "#Recovered. This bike was stolen from Manchester Rd, Tyldesley on Sunday and tracked by local offers through Little Hulton and onto land near Kearsley West School.

"With the help of Farnworth PCSOs the bike was found, recovered and reunited with its grateful owner."
