A COMPANY director who was found dead by her ex-partner at the bottom of her stairs died of a head injury, an inquest opening heard.
Andrea Dunn was found in a collapsed condition, aged 44, at her home address on Balmoral Drive, Blackrod, on April 9.
At the opening of an inquest at Bolton Coroner’s Court, police coroner's officer Andrew Pickles told how paramedics were called to the property and she was pronounced dead at the scene, before her body was later identified by her ex-partner, Leanne Murphy.

A post mortem examination was conduction by Dr Pearson at the Royal Bolton Hospital mortuary.
He gave the cause of death as one of head injury.
Area coroner for Manchester West Alan Walsh requested that samples of blood and tissue be retained for a toxicology report, which will be examined at a later date.
Statements have been requested from Andrea Dunn’s GP, as well as Greater Manchester Police, while the inquest has been adjourned until August 10 at 2pm.
