STAFF at a Bolton firm are taking on the challenge of a lifetime to raise money for the company charity.

Three workers at IT and Telecoms provider Digicomm 360, based in Halliwell Road, is gearing up to join Lagan's Foundation Charity Skydive Team for a breathtaking experience.

Lagan’s Foundation aims to physically help support families who have infants and children up to 19 years old who have been diagnosed with complex health conditions.

Managing Director Mark Pollitt said: “It’s a key part of our ethos at Digicomm to give something back to the wider community, so every year we pledge our support to several local charities, with staff dedicating their own time to raise funds.

“We’ve supported Lagan’s Foundation for many years and have a strong affiliation to this wonderful charity. We are aware that it’s been a tough time for charities across the country and we are determined to do our bit to help."

Mark will be joined on the jump by Digicomm Engineers Tom Hyde and Warren Hardman.

The three will take on the challenge in June from the Black Knights jump centre at Cockerham, Lancashire, where they will be cheered on by family and other members of the Digicomm team.

Mark added: "“We’ll be donning our Biggles goggles and preening our moustaches and making our way to Black Knights jump centre at Cockerham in Lancashire in June. For all of us, it will be our first Skydive and it’s fair to say we’re feeling a mixture of both nervous anticipation and excitement.

“At Digicomm, we work as an extension of our client’s businesses, and it’s our role to not only ensure that that can operate effectively during these difficult times - but that they continue to grow and thrive. Several of our clients are charities and we understand that support comes in many forms – from supplying highly effective communications solutions – to jumping out of planes."
