A DRUG-DRIVER caught behind the wheel of a stolen lorry without a licence or insurance has been ordered to undertake 100 hours of unpaid work.
Manchester Magistrates heard how 21-year-old Arly Tudge was caught driving the Mercedes Sprinter drop-sided lorry on Broadhead Road, Turton, on July 22 last year.
The vehicle had previously been stolen and Tudge, of MacDonald Avenue, Farnworth, tested positive for cocaine and cannabis.
He pleaded guilty to handling the stolen lorry, which belonged to Great Harwood-based Kays Traffic Management, drug driving, and driving without a licence or insurance.
In addition to the unpaid work, Tudge was banned from obtaining a driving licence for 16 months and must pay £180 in costs and charges.
