No coronavirus deaths have been reported at The Royal Bolton Hospital for a week.

The last death from Covid-19 to have occurred at the hospital was on April 26, with no more deaths recorded since then, according to the latest NHS data.

In total, 648 patients have died from coronavirus at the borough's hospital with the first death of the pandemic happening on March 20 last year.

Only three deaths were reported in hospitals across England yesterday, with none of these happening in the north west.

As of April 27 Bolton Hospital was caring for 11 coronavirus patients, down from 15 the previous week.

The number of beds occupied by Covid patients by over 50 per cent in Bolton in the last four weeks.
