A DRIVER tried to ram his way out after his car was boxed in, police have said.
Officers received a report of a suspicious vehicle off Chorley Old Road in Bolton and spotted a BMW.
But instead of pulling over, the driver attempted to "ram his way out", police reported.
The car was brought to a halt though, avoiding a potential pursuit through town.
A man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, drug driving and driving while disqualified, according to police.
The BMW was also seized, officers confirmed.
The time and date of the incident have not been reported but Greater Manchester Police traffic officers have shared the details on social media this afternoon.
