WANDERERS fans are gearing up to watch Whites’ biggest game of the season – in their living rooms as well as in beer gardens across the town.

Win today against Crawley Town and Ian Evatt’s team gain promotion back to League One – and supporters are backing Bolton to do the business. Top Gear star Paddy Mc Guinness said: “What a way to end a season! The entire town is behind you lads. Let’s have it!”

Ashley Southern from Little Lever will be keeping up-to-date with the latest news from home.

He said: “Come on Bolton, one more game to finish off this rollercoaster season!"

Lauren Watmough, along with Leo and Ian, will be cheering on the lads tomorrow from Ramsbottom.

She said: “Come on you Whites! We can do this! Let’s get back up those leagues to where we belong!”

Despite pubs only being allowed to serve punters outdoors and rain being forecast for the region today, some landlords are still expecting busy trade this afternoon, with Whites’ crunch game live on Sky Sports.

The Vulcan Inn in Deane and the Spread Eagle in Bromley Cross said they were both fully booked for the huge fixture.

The pub said: “A big day tomorrow for BWFC and for us. There is not a seat available tomorrow afternoon."

Meanwhile Darren Roscoe is set to watch the game from his own Wanderers-themed back garden pub.

Whites last night urged fans to enjoy the match in safety and not to travel to Crawley.

A club spokesman said: “We would like to thank all our supporters for their fantastic support this season.

"Despite them not being in the stadium, we have felt their passionate support which has been incredibly important to us.

“The Covid-19 pandemic continues to represent a serious risk to public health and gatherings of more than six people outdoors are still not permitted.

“The club urges supporters not to travel to Crawley on Saturday and not to gather in large groups anywhere.”
