A MAN was arrested on suspicion of assault in Bolton town centre on Friday afternoon.
Police attended a scene at around 1.15pm on May 7 where a woman had fallen to the ground.
Footage sent to The Bolton News from the top of a double-decker bus showed what appeared to be a man being apprehended by officers at the junction between Newport Street and Great Moor Street.
A man was arrested in connection with the incident but was later let go after an investigation.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 1.15pm on Friday May 7, police were called to Newport Street, Bolton following reports of an assault.
"Officers attended to find a woman had sustained a minor head injury after falling to the ground.
"A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and later de-arrested following further enquiries."
