FLOODING has been reported in Markland Hill, with a section of road closed off earlier.
The area around Victoria Inn pub was heavily covered by water, which is believed to have been leaking from a main.
Council workers were on site from around 3pm and the road remained closed for a while after that.
A passerby told The Bolton News that a council worker had indicated it would remain closed for several days.
Photos show a police cordon around the area, as the heavy flooding took hold of the road.
Mains have been shut off and residents were left without water earlier.
Bolton Council has been contacted for comment.
