A BOLTON brewery has tripled its production in a matter of months - and one of its owners couldn’t be more thrilled for its future.

Popular Escape Brewery is run by Philip Wray, Dave Cross, and Adam Smith, in Westhoughton, with all their drinks following the theme of a famous escape from history.

Currently based in the business park in Dodd Lane, Escape Brewery has been doing home deliveries for much of the past year - and Adam said that “demand is outstripping production.”

The brewery’s products have been growing in popularity - and the demand has meant that their brewers are able to do their job full-time.

Adam said: “We are very excited for the future. I have already got a series of appointments around the town to help get our products in more places.

“The Bolton Gin Company is opening a new bar soon and they are going to have our beer there.

“The demand and the growth has meant that our two brewers can quit their day jobs and focus solely on the production of the beer.

“The deliveries that we were doing during lockdown have been a huge hit and selling out each time. It’s really exciting for us.”

Around the end of last year, the brewery was producing around 450 litres at a time - which has more than tripled to 1,500 litres at a time.

The brewing process takes around 10 days, and the newer, increased productions has enabled Escape Brewery to keep up with their popularity.

Adam added: “We weren’t able to keep up with demand. We were selling everything we were producing and were turning people away on a weekly basis, hence we are in a position to do the deliveries.”

The brewery is also hoping to extend their store presence - getting cans of their products in more shops across Bolton.

Escape has also been ‘ramping up production’ specifically for the re-opening of indoor pubs later in the month.

They have since been appealing to fans and pub landlords to get in touch should they want to stock some of their cask ale products. For more information, email info@escapebrewery.co.uk
