A MAN in his thirties has been found dead close to a health centre at a park in Bolton.

Emergency services were called to the Tonge Fold end of Leverhulme Park shortly before 8am this morning following reports a man had died.

A number of police vehicles could be seen in the car park at Tonge Fold health centre, close to where the body was found.

The man was unable to be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A local resident said: "I heard the sirens around 8.15am and I thought they were louder than usual.

"There was a police cordon in place and two or three police vehicles as well."

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Officers were called around 7.55am today to Leverhulme Park, Bolton, to a report of a male found deceased.

"Emergency services attended and a man in his 30s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and next-of-kin have been informed. A file will be prepared for the coroner."
