An historic pub that last operated well over a decade ago is set to be brought back to life.

The Stanley Arms, also known as the Sally Up Steps, in Chorley Old Road, is set to be reopened next Friday (June 11) by the owners of The Crofters in Bradshaw.

It is believed the site last operated as a pub in the early 2000s, before becoming the Nam Ploy Thai restaurant for many years.

A Facebook page was set up on June 1 teasing the return of the Stanley Arms, with an announcement officially coming on The Crofters main Facebook page yesterday.

A Facebook post read: "Coming soon…Bolton’s finest live entertainment paired with our fresh Neapolitan pizza, crisp beers and gorgeous cocktails."
