A DRINK driver who was on the "complete wrong side of the road" in Bolton is "awaiting his day in court."

Greater Manchester Police announced the news of the arrest, which occurred last week, on their social media pages.

The driver had turned on to College Way, breaching the keep left sign.

A police spokesman said that his "standard of driving was hindered by the fact he was over the drink drive limit."

In custody, the driver would later provide a reading of 92 - more than double the limit of 32.

The vehicle was subsequently seized and the driver is awaiting a court date.

Police regularly post incidents on their Facebook page to raise awareness of driving offences.

The full post on Facebook said: "Last week, officers from #CRelief Response witnessed the driver of this vehicle turning onto College Way on the complete wrong side of the road, breaching the keep left sign. "He was also found not to be insured on the vehicle.

"In custody, the driver provided an evidential reading of 92µg, more than double the limit of 35µg.

The vehicle has been seized and the driver awaits his day in court."
