THREE vehicles have been seized by traffic police in Bolton in the space of 24 hours.

Last night, while traffic officers were awaiting for a recovery vehicle to collect a silver Ford Fiesta after arresting a man on suspicion of attempted robbery on Rupert Street, officers blocked a black Volkswagen Passat, which officers say has been pursued three times in as many weeks by the force.

The driver said he was a "new keeper" of the vehicle, however, he was found to be driving without insurance or a license.

The vehicle was subsequently seized and the driver reported.
