A popular music festival showcasing the best of Manchester music through the years has had to delay its comeback.
The 'Made in Manchester' festival which set to take place on Saturday, June 26, at Bolton Arena has been delayed once again after Boris Johnson moved the June 21 easing of cooronavirus restrictions back to July 19.
The 2020 festival had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, with this another setback for organisers.
The event has now been pushed back to September 4.
A Facebook post on the Made in Manchester Festival Facebook page, said: "In light of last night’s statement from Boris, frustratingly, we have to move our Made In Manchester Festival, due to take place on Saturday 26th June at Bolton Arena, to a new date.
"Whilst this is hugely disappointing for all, it is our only option.
"We were really looking forward to celebrating freedom with you all on June 26th, but it is what it is and health and safety comes first.
"The rearranged date will be Saturday 4th September 2021.
"Please support the small festival scene and everyone involved by keeping hold of your tickets for the new date! Your ticket will automatically be valid for the September date.
"Hopefully, you will have all had your staycations by then and can celebrate the return of live music with us!
"If you cannot make the new date then please contact our ticketing partner, TicketSource, by Wednesday 30th June 2021, who will issue you with a refund. (support@ticketsource.co.uk).
"Thank you for your patience and understanding, we promise it will be worth the wait!"
A host of local acts and tribute acts will be performing at the festival.
The tributes include Oasis, James, Buzzcocks and Courteeners acts, along with local performers Ryan Jarvis and Narrow Margin.
Made in Manchester is also holding similar festivals in Romiley and Dukinfield later this year.
