Another death from coronavirus has been recorded at the Royal Bolton Hospital, despite the number of cases continuing to fall.

Data released daily by NHS England showed that one patient died from Covid-19 on June 15 at the hospital.

This is the only death to have happened at a hospital in the north west, with only three patients dying from coronavirus in hospitals across the country in the latest round of figures.

It is also the second day in a row that a coronavirus death has been reported at the borough’s hospital, with another person dying on June 14.

Before this there had not been a death since June 7.
