David Hamer, 79
Police have thanked the public for their help to find a missing man with dementia.
79-year-old David Hamer went missing from Blenheim Road, Breightmet, this morning.
A GMP Bolton North spokesman, said: "Police would like to thank members of the public in assisting to locate David safe and well.
"Following our posts on social media and numerous calls from members of the public providing us with sightings of David, he has now been found.
"A member of the public driving along Blackburn Road spotted David and stopped him, waiting with him until police arrived.
"He has now been taken back home by officers."
