POLICE are investigating the latest in a spate of anti-social incidents said to be plaguing an estate, leaving residents living in fear.

In the most recent incident, a front door was kicked in by a group of males.

One neighbour told The Bolton News the incident was just one of a number of which frequently take place on the estate.

There are reports windows are frequently smashed through and car wing mirrors kicked off, with 'intimidating' groups hanging around the estate.

One local resident told The Bolton News he is looking to move as anti-social behaviour gets worse.

“Four years ago it was alright,"he said: " But now you feel threatened if you go outside.

"Windows are smashed in and wing mirrors are kicked off.

He added shouting on the estate is almost "normal".

The Bolton News has reported previously how bus services thorough the estate had to be stopped for the second time in a week after vehicles were pelted with stones and missiles.

Bus companies appealed for help in identifying those responsible

And the resident said that action is needed on the estate so people are not forced to live in fear and to stop incidents on the estate from escalating further.

A police spokesman said: "Officers were called around 3.25pm on Friday 11 June to Monsterrat Road, Bolton to a report of a group of males causing damage to the door of a property.

"The males subsequently fled the scene.

"No injuries were reported.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
