Five more coronavirus deaths have been announced at the Royal Bolton Hospital.

NHS England said that two deaths were recorded at the hospital on Saturday, with another two on Sunday, and a further one on Monday.

This means that the overall amount of deaths at the hospital since the start of the pandemic has gone up to 669.

The first confirmed Covid death at the hospital came on March 20 last year.

There have been a number of confirmed deaths at Bolton Hospital in recent weeks after the number of patients being cared for increased.

As of June 15, the latest data available, 42 people were being treated for Covid-19 at Bolton Hospital.
