Police are appealing for help identifying a man who assaulted an 18-year-old in an unprovoked attack.
The assault happened on a 575 bus travelling from Wigan to Bolton around 5.45pm on May 17, with the 18-year-old suffering facial injuries.
Greater Manchester Police's transport unit are appealing for the public's help in tracing the man to help with their investigations.
A GMP Bolton South spokesman said: "Officers from the GMP Transport Unit are appealing for information after an assault on a bus in Bolton on Monday May 17 2021.
"Officers were called at 5:45PM to a report of an 18-year-old male who had been the victim of an unprovoked assault on the 575 bus which had been travelling from Wigan to Bolton and the man suffered facial injuries.
"Officers have released images of a man who they would like to speak to in connection to the incident who may be able to assist with the investigation."
Anyone with information or who may have witnessed this incident is asked to contact GMP by ringing 101 or using GMP online live chat quoting incident 2136 of 17/05/2021.
Details can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
