CUSTOMERS of a closed Bolton bank are being urged to try out their local post office for size.
Bosses at TSB announced last September that the branches in Horwich and Daubhill would be the latest to shut.
And yesterday marked the final day of trading for the latter branch, which is located at 400-402 Derby Street.
But Post Office chiefs say alternative banking provisions can be used by punters at three of their sites nearby. Customers can take advantage of Daubilll Post Office at 257 St Helens Road or their branch at 54 St Helens Road. Their Gilnow Road branch is nearby.
A Post Office spokesman said: "Each branch offers banking, including deposits, free cash withdrawals and balance checks, as well as access to government services, bill payment, foreign currency, travel insurance and postal services."
