SEVERAL people have been convicted recently by magistrates for a range of motoring offences.

A PORSCHE driver has been fined £307 by magistrates after he was caught in the car without a using a seatbelt. At Preston Magistrates’ Court Jon Crompton, aged 35, of Blackburn Road, Turton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence when driving a Porsche Cayenne on Blackburn Road, Edgworth on June 25 last year. He was also ordered to pay £124 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have banned a man from driving for six months after he used a BMW 535 on Kay Street, Bolton, on November 17 last year without insurance. The case against Milan Podhraczky, aged 24, of Kingston Avenue, Bolton, was proved at Manchester Magistrates’ Court. He was also fined £660 and must pay £156 in costs and charges.

A BANNED motorist who continued to drive and was caught using a hand held mobile phone, has been electronically tagged. At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Mario Bartos, aged 31, of Valpy Avenue, Bolton, admitted driving a Mercedes A150 on Spring Lane, Radcliffe on May 11 whilst banned, without insurance and using a mobile phone whilst driving. He was sentenced to a 7pm to 7am curfew for 16 weeks and banned from applying for a driving licence for a further 12 months and ordered to pay £180 in costs and charges.

A WOMAN caught driving a Vauxhall Astra on Chorley Old Road, Bolton, without a licence or insurance has been fined by magistrates. At Manchester Magistrates’ Court, Faye Regan, aged 23, of Grosvenor Street, Little Lever, pleaded guilty to committing the offences on April 10. She was fined £346 and banned from applying for a driving licence for six months and must pay £124 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have fined a several people after they failed to provide police with the names of drivers suspected of having committed motoring offences. Each was fined £660 plus costs and had six penalty points added to their driving records.

Ahmed Alsaleh, aged 20, of Torrington Avenue, Bolton, failed name a BMW driver on November 17 last year. The case against him was proved at Preston Magistrates’ Court.

The case against Lee Woodfin, aged 43, of Tig Fold Road, Farnworth, was proved at Preston Magistrates' Court after he failed to name a Vauxhall driver on April 29 last year.
