SEVERAL people have been fined hundreds of pounds by magistrates after travelling on trains without paying.

Anthony Beer, aged 44, of Albert Street, Kearsley, travelled from Kearsley to Manchester Oxford Road on February 12. He was fined £220 plus £188.60 in costs and compensation.

Jack Evans, aged 18, of Angelbank, Horwich, travelled from Salford Crescent to Horwich Parkway on February 12. He was fined £220 plus £190.20 in costs and compensation.

Adam Green, aged 20, of Dunsop Drive, Bolton, travelled between Bolton and Manchester Deansgate on February 13. He was fined £220 plus £188.60 in costs and compensation.

James Jackson, of Manchester Road, Westhoughton, travelled from Westhoughton to Heald Green on February 19. He was fined £220 plus £190.90 in costs and compensation.

Brett Cooke, aged 22, of Churchgate, Bolton, was fined £220 after he travelled from Bolton to Deansgate in Manchester without a ticket on November 28 last year. In addition to the fine, Cooke was ordered to pay £188.60 in costs and compensation.

Limbani Chibambo, of Randolph Road, Kearsley, admitted failing to have a ticket at Manchester Victoria station on August 15, 2019 and was fined £145 plus £184 in costs and charges.
