A LORRY driver who went missing was found dead just two days later.
The inquest into the death of Christopher Jones opened yesterday.
The 32-year-old lived in Buckley Lane, Farnworth, but was born in Birmingham.
Police coroner's officer Benjamin Dobbs told the hearing: "On 4th July he was found hanging from a tree close to Barrow Bridge Road.
"Paramedics attended the scene."
Mr Jones was pronounced dead at the scene, added Mr Dobbs.
A post mortem carried out at the Royal Bolton Hospital on July 9 revealed that the cause of death was hanging.
The inquest was adjourned for statements to be prepared from Mr Jones' GP and the police.
A full hearing will take place in November.
Police launched an appeal for information to trace Mr Jones through social media and The Bolton News when he went missing from his home address at around 10am on July 2, two days before his body was discovered.
